IHC IQIP successfully installs Edvard Grieg Plem

IHC IQIP successfully participated in the installation of a PipeLine End Manifold (PLEM) for the new UHGP pipeline. This PLEM is a subsea connection point between the new UHGP pipeline and the SAGE pipeline system which allows oil & gas transport from the Norwegian sector to the UK sector.

Efficient & safe installation of piles
The IHC IQIP scope consist of installation of four 24” PLEM piles to keep the manifold in place. The piles are safely upended and lifted using a IHC ILT 24-42 Internal Lifting Tool. After efficient stabbing of the piles into the PLEM-structure, pile driving was faultless performed by an IHC S-90 Hydrohammer. Significant time savings were achieved as the hammer, sleeve and follower were upended in one-lift using a unique Upending & Transportation Frame.

Extensive document control

Requirement for this project was an extensive document control as project owner Statoil required an extensive Supplier Data Requirements List. This SDRL means that as a supplier, IHC IQIP was required to deliver plans, technical documents, notifications and test reports during the project in order to maintain quality and compliance.

Both project preparation - and operational phase were completed as per plan, followed by compliments from Technip Norge AS stating: “Great equipment, great service!”
