IQIP CONTRIBUTES TO THE INSTALLATION OF JAPANESE FIRST OFFSHORE WIND FARM

THE AKITA-NOSHIRO OWF PROJECT
The Akita-Noshiro offshore wind farm project will be located near the Akita and Noshiro port. For this project, IQIP will deliver installation equipment for the foundations of the wind turbines. In total 33 monopiles will be installed, of which 13 will be installed near the Akita port, and 20 near the Noshiro port. The construction started this year, and the project is expected to begin commercial operations in 2022, supplying wind power to approximately 130,000 homes.
